The event is open to people from the local community to participate in a wide range of free activities, designed to capture the imagination, plant seeds of ideas, re-kindle old skills and make time for new skills all within the sanctuary of the castle walls.

SEE – the shadows on the walls

- the lighting of the Laugharne Cultural Olympiad Torch

- the castle through the mists of time.

HEAR – the voices of the Corran Singers

- tales of the storytellers

- the rhythms of the drums

TASTE- Old fashioned Toffee Apples

- Pumpkin Soup

- Traditional Cawl

SMELL - The fruits of the Harvest

- Food Cooking from the castle kitchen

- Roasting Chestnuts

TOUCH – weave the willow

- carve a lantern

- make a shadow puppet

Local people, clubs, groups, societies or organisations in West Carmarthenshire who would like to participate in advertising, promoiting and fundraising for thier cause as well as come together to celebrate in community events leading upto 2012 big event please get in contact.

Artist Shellie Holden worked with members of Laugharne’s Quilters & Women’s Institute as well as members of the public, on a project based on Laugharne Castle’s Victorian Garden. Exploring techniques of wrapping, hand dying, beading, embroidery & applique.
